THE BEACHES

WHALE WATCHING

Tenerife is the perfect place to have a boat tour, with bottlenose dolphins, sperm whales, pilot whales and risso dolphins to spot.

LORO PARQUE ZOO

A sanctuary for birds and animals including parrots, whales, tigers and alligators.

MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND THE COSMOS

The MCC in La Laguna is one of the most important museums in Spain and worth a visit.

CAVING IN CUEVA DEL VIENTO

There are 18km of lava tubes you can explore with a tour guide, walking to discover fossils, lava stalactite­s and lava lakes.

THE LOST MASCA VILLAGE

The ravine hike takes between three and five hours with a water taxi ride back to Los Gigantes.

SCUBA DIVING

Scuba diving is available all over Tenerife but in the north you will find Tabaiba, a deliberate­ly sunken wreck to help build marine life is the area. On this dive you will find octopus, large schools of mackerel and barracudas.
