Brother and mum reunited

-

Dear June

My mum was a huge part of our family and when she passed away 12 years ago my brother and I were devastated.

I lost my brother last year after a short battle with cancer.

A few weeks before he died we spoke about him being reunited with Mum.

It would comfort me to know they are together.

Barbara, Stirling.

The bond between a mother and her child can never be broken, even after death.

Your mum would have been watching over you both from spirit side.

She would have been aware of your brother’s illness and undoubtedly would have been there at the moment of his passing to collect and reassure him after his transition from this side of life to the next.

They will be together again and will support you through your grief.

I am shown two photos that have been placed together (in separate frames of dark wood) of your brother and your mum and I get the strong sense they sit in your home and you talk to them daily.

I also feel he was your younger brother and was the blue-eyed boy of the family that everyone looked out for. He missed your mum so much and was comforted by your words prior to his passing, when you assured him that she would be there waiting for him.

Your words were correct as she greeted her boy with open arms.

He is safe with your mum and one day you will all stand together again.

Dear June

I hope you could offer some words of comfort to our daughter.

In December, at seven months pregnant, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who only lived for six hours.

They named him Malcolm and she was able to hold him in her arms for a while to say goodbye.

She is heartbroken, as you can imagine. There are no words I can say to stop her pain.

Margaret, Dunfermline.

In my eyes, the most painful grief for a mum is the loss of her child.

A mum has a special bond with the child she carries and over the stages of the baby’s growth she feels movements as she waits to welcome him or her into the world. The disappointment and grief can be debilitating for a while.

Each child lost returns to spirit side and is welcomed and cared for by family and loved ones previously passed.

Your beautiful grandchild will be with those who will love and care for him until the day comes when he can be reunited with his mum.
