Blackburn Rovers strengthen­ed their promotion charge with a 3-0 win over Blackpool.

Bradley Dack broke the deadlock in first-half injury time and two second-half goals from Adam Armstrong settled proceeding­s as the leaders extended their unbeaten league run to 16 games.

At the end of the half, Charlie Mulgrew’s freekick was glanced home by Dack at the near post.

In-form Armstrong put the contest to bed in the 69th minute with a curling 25-yarder, before he put the seal on a hardfought win in the 90th minute by slotting home Elliott Bennett’s cross.

Bury remain rooted to the bottom of the table as they allowed derby rivals Oldham come back from 2-0 behind to earn a 2-2 draw.

Bury went ahead after 13 minutes when Latics defender Wildred Moimbe headed the ball straight into Jay O’Shea’s path, and he lashed home from 20 yards.

Neil Danns looped a shot over Johnny Placide, via a slight deflection, to make it 2-0.

Oldham halved the deficit four minutes before the interval when Craig Davies tapped home, before Ben Pringle smashed in the 76th minute to grab a point.

Moses Makasi put Plymouth ahead in the 15th minute, but Paddy Madden rescued a point for the Cod Army.

Wigan sub Gary Roberts popped up with an 87th-minute equaliser to deny Scunthorpe in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Earlier, Chey Dunkley and Will Grigg scored either side of Tom Hopper’s effort. But Hopper added a second and Ivan Toney netted the Iron’s third, before Roberts’ late show.
