Memories will have returned

-

Dear June

My father died three years ago, having had dementia for his final four years.

Will he now be in the spiritual world and will his health have changed?

Will he remember once more who his family is and know how much we love him?

Lorraine, email.

June Says

Dementia not only affects the individual who suffers from it, but it also has a heartbreaking effect on family and close friends who have no choice but to watch as the person they know disappears a little at a time.

To become a stranger to those you shared a lifetime of memories with is emotionally draining.

Once the physical body dies and the spirit/ soul of the individual housed within becomes separated from it, the recognition of friends, loved ones and a lifetime’s worth of loving memories instantly returns.

Your father will know how much you love and miss him and also how you cared for him during his illness.

He will no longer be able to suffer from ill health as he no longer has a physical body, as that is what causes discomfort, whether through illness, accident or age deterioration.

He will once again be the character he was before his illness struck.

Your father will be with other family members previously passed, who will be together supporting one another.

They will, on occasion, gather together to offer support to those left behind during particularly turbulent times in their physical lives.
