Sport on TV

Why does everything have to take a back seat to sport? We have the World Cup, rugby and, for the last fortnight, Wimbledon. You must think I’m a spoilsport, but it’s a bit too much to bear. – J. Logan, Stirling.

Taskmaster Dave

One of the funniest shows on the box, in my opinion. Liza Tarbuck was a worthy series champion as she took on all the tasks with a smile and often, dare I say it, a bit of a dirty laugh! – C. Munro, Oban.

Best Walks With A View With Julia Bradbury ITV

Well, that’s my next holiday sorted! Julia’s delightful stroll along the Dorset coast, including the spectacular Old Harry Rocks had me looking out my walking boots. – I. Milne, Aberystwyth.

Picnic At Hanging Rock BBC2

I remember the classic movie version of this haunting tale, but I think this adaptation may even better it. Natalie Dormer as Hester is quite astonishing.

– E. Bremner, Newcastle.

World’s Tiniest Masterpieces Channel 4

Artist Willard Wigan makes the tiniest art, so small it can’t be seen with the naked eye. I particularly loved the Kate and William that could fit in he eye of a needle.

– A. Strachan, Glasgow.
