What is lockjaw, and does it exist in modern Britain?

Lockjaw can be caused by tetanus which is a serious bacterial infection. Fortunately it is rare thanks to the effectiveness of childhood immunisation. Is there such thing as too much sleep? I’m 85 and sleep for 11 hours a night. I wondered if it was harmful.

Too much sleep can be harmful to your health. We know that people who sleep longer than 10 hours have a higher risk of developing obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression and have a reduced life expectancy. At your current age, there may be different reasons for you wanting to sleep longer. Speak to your doc if you’re worried.
