The longest-running children’s TV show in the world celebrates its birthday with a one-hour live special – although some viewers may secretly think it would have been more in keeping for the Beeb to show an episode they’d made earlier.

Former presenters will join the current team for games and a look back at classic moments, while viewers see the contents of the Diamond Time Capsule.
