Always In Between Jess Glynne

Earlier this year, the 28-year-old became the first British female solo artist to score seven No 1 singles thanks to I’ll Be There.

Her second album, Always In Between, offers up so much more than this as Glynne mixes it up, offering several pleasant surprises that go beyond its lead single.

No One has an infectious beat that builds to each chorus, showing off the singer’s brawny vocals, while anthemic Thursday strikes a chord by slowing things down. OUR VERDICT 8/10

Piano Odyssey Rick Wakeman

After 50 years of touring with Yes and recording with stars like David Bowie, Wakeman indulges himself by eschewing his array of moogs, electric organs and keyboards in favour of a grand piano.

Known as a prog rock pioneer, here he’s regressive, taking on well-worn classics and opting for pleasingly uncomplicated arrangements.

It is undeniably satisfying to hear a virtuoso like Wakeman get his hands on these classic songs. OUR VERDICT 6/10

A Star Is Born Official Soundtrack

The film has received critical acclaim so expectations are high for the music.

Bradley Cooper gives a bluesy turn on the grinding opening track Black Eyes and rocky Alibi.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga transforms from club singer to pop artist.

Heal Me and Why Did You Do That? are highlights but the standout track is Shallow, a stunning duet.

These songs are good enough to stand alone. OUR VERDICT 7/10
