Give us something to cheer, Scotland
Well, the one thing you can’t say about Scottish football is that it’s boring.
It’s only October and already we’ve had fury over the league cup semi-final schedule, Gazza’s hokey-cokey selection for the Hall of Fame, and now Alex McLeish under pressure after a handful of games as Scotland boss.
If there is disaster or controversy to be found, you can usually expect those in charge of the game north of the border to grab it with both hands.
But, in all seriousness, it’s tragic that we are speaking in such a way. Domestically, we have a good product with a number of teams vying for the top spot.
However, internationally, we appear to be going nowhere fast. This shouldn’t be the case – so can someone, somewhere, please give us all something to cheer about?
