Rubble, rubble, toil and trouble

-

I’m beginning to wonder if the Rest and be Thankful stretch of the A83 in Argyll should be renamed Don’t Bother Trying, it’s Shut Again given the amount of times it is closed due to severe weather-related landslips and rock falls. SNP MP Brendan O’Hara, whose fed-up constituents regularly endure 60-mile detours due to the closures, would be more than thankful if the Scottish Government permanently blasted the problem away. Quite rightly, they are demanding more investment. Sadly, until that day, or at least until Bear Scotland manage to remove the estimated 2,500 tonnes of debris and boulders dangerously looming over the road, they’ll all just have to grin and bear it.
