Criminal act

I would never condone crime but as I read the meticulously planned stripping of the old Stobhill Hospital, closed in 2009, I wondered why on earth the authorities did not act years ago to sell off anything of value in the building to help boost NHS funds. Not only has a major heist occurred but a big opportunity has been lost. Catch the gang, of course, but investigate why nothing was done about Stobhill within the NHS board room well before this crime. Joe Cushnan, Nottinghamshire
