Elgin came from behind to see off a Cowdenbeath side which finished with 10 men after getting goalkeeper David McGurn sent off. Cowdenbeath went in front early through David Cox. But, from then on, the home side dominated and deservedly levelled through Shane Sutherland on 25 minutes. Four minutes after the interval, Darryl McHardy fired his team in front. McGurn was red-carded in 73 minutes and Sutherland made it 3-1 from the spot.
