EDiNBURGH 21 OSPREYS 22

Matt Scott went over twice at Murrayfield – only for the Ospreys to stun the Gunners with a last-gasp penalty.

The home troops were on course to claim a morale-boosting win in the approach to Pro14 hostilities.

But Cai Evans held his nerve to deny them two minutes from time.

Hooker Sam Parry had snatched an early lead for the visitors but the hosts responded with tries for Scott and Jamie Farndale – both converted by Jaco van der Walt.

The Welshmen struck after the restart with a Luke Morgan effort.

However, Scott then completed his double, with Simon Hickey banging over the extras.

Ospreys refused to buckle and Scott Otten’s score paved the way for a nervy last few minutes. Then Evans slotted his sickener.

GLASGOW 36 ULSTER 33
