The BBC should ban the Prime Minister
I enjoyed your article about Andrew Neil and watched all his interviews with the party leaders.
Nicola Sturgeon did a lot better than Jeremy Corbyn but it’s still pretty grim when there is only one interviewer on television with a reputation for doing his job properly.
What is awful is Boris Johnson still being allowed on the BBC despite saying he would be interviewed by Mr Neil then going back on his word.
The other leaders did it on the basis the Prime Minister was doing it too and it may well have cost them votes, particularly Mr Corbyn. There’s a principle and the BBC should have the guts to ban Mr Johnson until he does what he said he would do.
Mrs C. Fallow, Bellshill Age concern
Sir, I am 72 years old and I am always annoyed every time I hear a politician or health official stating that an ageing population is draining resources from the National Health Service.
In our generation we worked hard and paid our national insurance contributions and also had to pay for our prescriptions. It’s scandalous.

I hate it when you start watching a series on TV and then feel you can’t give up on it.
I watched the first episode of War Of The Worlds on the BBC, which was all right.
The second one was pretty dull and the last one made me wish the Martians had properly wrecked the place in the first hour. It would have saved me having to sit there until the bitter, boring end.

Good on the Colin Simpson for getting himself back into rowing despite going blind.
That is the type of spirit we need more of in this society. It fair put a smile on my face.

I wanted to let you know that it brightens up my Sunday no end reading your paper and I absolutely love seeing what Wee Harry is going to get up to every week.
Great idea having a separate comic strip of PC Murdoch and of course Wee Harry, the stories are excellent.

In the same week that Katie Price filed for bankruptcy it was really refreshing to read your magazine piece about Susan Boyle.
Price has apparently blown a £40 million fortune on God knows what, while Susan Boyle, despite having millions in the bank no doubt, is living in her parent’s old council house in Blackburn, West Lothian.
And why not?

I love Judy Murray’s page in The Sunday Post. I’m originally from Dunfermline, have lived in Plymouth for 48 years due to husband being in the Royal Navy, but return to Dunfermline often to visit family.
I agree with you about not feeling your age. I retired at 65, three years ago, I cycle with a woman’s group, do aerobic classes, go to the gym, swim, walk etc. I feel fitter than I was 20 years ago.

When are we going to see the return of Jeemy to the comic pages?
I loved that wee mouse when I was a kid but it doesn’t seem to appear anymore.
