This we week are...

keeping calm & carrying on

- EDITOR, JAYNE SAVVA JSAVVA@DCTMEDIA.CO.UK

Iam writing this from my bunker. I’ve managed to clear a space for my laptop among the toilet roll mountain we’ve been hoarding since mid-February and I now have enough tinned tomatoes and pasta to feed a small Italian town for a month.

Ok, I’m joking but it does feel a bit like the End Of Days at the moment, doesn’t it?

It would be strange writing this week’s editor’s letter without mentioning the c-word when the coronavirus is all anyone is talking about.

The uncertainty has brought out the good old Scottish gallows humour but it’s an understandably worrying time, especially for those with elderly or infirm relatives.

For now, all we can do is wash our hands, try not to panic, and carry on.

It doesn’t feel like there’s much to be cheerful about so we’ve tried to inject as much fun and colour into this week’s issue as possible.

Thankfully, there’s plenty to keep us entertained in the TV schedules this week.

Downton Abbey fans will love new ITV costume drama Belgravia, written by Julian Fellowes and starring Tamsin Greig and Richard Goulding (pictured above). Tamsin gives us the lowdown on the Victorian romp, and her love/hate relationship with corsets, on page 22.

We also catch up with Kumars star Meera Syal who is back on the box with new seaside sitcom, Kate & Koji (see pages 6&7). And on page 21 our favourite Friend Lisa Kudrow talks about her love of Blackpool! Lastly, this week’s fashion pages are packed with the brightest spring style tips and advice. We hope it’ll remind you that there will be lighter days ahead.
