Two officers injured attending incident

Two police officers needed hospital treatment after being injured while dealing with a disturbanc­e at a flat.

A 14-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man were arrested and charged after officers were called to a property in Kirkintill­och, East Dunbartons­hire, on Friday night.

Around 12 police vehicles attended the scene and two male officers were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. They were released after treatment.

Chief Inspector Lorna Gibson said: “A report was received of a disturbanc­e within a property at Townhead in Kirkintill­och shortly after 10.50pm on Friday night.

“Two males aged 28 and 14 have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.”
