Grow squashes with a little help from Agnes Stevenson

Benmore Botanic Garden in Argyll has reopened and visitors can once again climb the steep hillside, passing through the canopy of some of Scotland’s most admired trees, to catch breathtaking views.

This is a garden on a grand scale, with giant redwoods and towering rhododendrons as well as a restored fernery perched on a cliff and a tranquil pond that is teeming with wildlife.
