Take a virtual step inside ISA

-

At International School Aberdeen (ISA), healthy communities and positive learning environments are always built on the quality of human relationships. This is evident from its Virtual Open Days, which are the next best thing to seeing the school’s superb facilities in person.

Virtual Open Days have been designed to give you a sense of the level of care that makes ISA special. Not just for expatriate students new to Scotland, but also for Scottish families looking for something different.

Step into the world of ISA to experience its 21st Century campus, with pool, theatre, gyms, three-storey library, science and design labs, the specialist art, music and drama studios, the spacious classrooms, the wide and welcoming corridors and the incredible outdoor spaces.

You will receive a warm welcome from the Head of School, Mr Nick Little, and your time online will provide you with a first-hand, honest insight into life at ISA.

Prior to attending an ISA Virtual Open Day, families will chat with friendly admissions staff, Krista and Autumn. The online session includes an engaging video, a virtual tour and online question-and-answer sessions with relevant staff. If you want to learn more or apply, a one-to-one conversation is scheduled with either the Elementary or Middle/High school principal.

From there you will be placed in the care of ISA’s

full-time counsellor, who will personally see your family through the process of transition to

a new school. The Parent Teacher Organisation also organises parent “buddies” to make sure it is not just your child who feels supported.

ISA recognises there is nothing quite like meeting in person and the school endeavours to recreate the personal touch as much as possible using a variety of online tools.

It also understands that coping with change takes more than just technical skills and technology. It takes resilience – a quality students have in abundance.

ISA recently celebrated a clean sweep of top marks following this year’s exam results. Students recorded a 100% pass rate in the acclaimed International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. Students also surpassed worldwide grade point averages, with two students gaining places in top UK universities. But this is not what ISA parents talk about when asked to give feedback. Overwhelmingly, it is the quality of the care, the positive relationships their children have with teachers, and the responsiveness of all staff to queries and concerns.

Families and children of all ages are welcome to register for the next Virtual Open Day on Friday, October 8, 2021, at www.isa.aberdeen.sch.uk.
