Zoo spooktacular
Edinburgh Zoo is opening its gates after dark to invite fans of all things ghoulish to a familyfriendly spooktacular. All October, the zoo will have a magical illuminated trail. Visitors can listen out for a rustling among the trees and look out for peeping eyes as they make their way through the park, meeting everyone from witches and wizards, to scarecrows and spiders. GLOW and see
GlasGLOW, the unique light and sound experience, is back. See Glasgow’s Botanic Garden like you’ve never seen it before, from October 27 to November 14. See itison.com
Faerie frights
Loch Lomond Scary Faerie Trail, Luss, Loch Lomond is a fun Halloween trail around seasonally-decorated paths in the woodland of Luss. Activities include the Faeries Pumpkin Patch where you can pick a pumpkin. Until Oct 31. Log on to lochlomondfaerietrail.com
Ghostly gardens

Terror on the trail
A visit to Ayrshire’s Kelburn Castle this Halloween includes an immersive experience with a darker story. A child has gone missing in the woods. Wooooo in the woods
