Adams’ chance to go down fighting
Tony Adams’s Granada host Real Madrid next Saturday, with the home side already relegated after yesterday’s loss against Real Sociedad. Adams has never managed to convince the English game he is management material and, having taken over a basketcase of a club, a fourth straight defeat was only notable in that his team scored this time.
Madrid will be halfway through their Champions League semi-final with neighbours Atlético and going for the title. Anything other than the anticipated Granada defeat, and this could be one of the most spectacularly entertaining Englishman-abroad cameos in the history of the genre.
