Dirty flask? Here’s a solution to get your teeth into

-

I dusted off an old flask last week, planning to take hot tea with me on my walks, since a government spokesman has generously stipulated this is allowed and doesn’t count as a picnic. Unfortunately, the last time I’d used this flask was at the Battersea Park fireworks in November 2019 for my special hot chocolate (hot chocolate made with cream and Cointreau, like drinking a Terry’s chocolate orange), and although I’d rinsed it, I could see mould spores loitering in the bottom, which wouldn’t budge with washing. Thanks to the internet, however, I discovered that you can drop denture cleaning tablets into flasks and they look brand new all over again. So satisfying I did it twice, and I dropped a couple in the loo because they clean that, too. Who needs a boyfriend, anyway?
