LIBERAL DEMOCRATS SCANDAL

Ibrahim Taguri, the Lib Dem candidate for Brent Central, is to step down after he was caught accepting a potentially illegal donation in an investigation by the Telegraph. Mr Taguri told an undercover reporter posing as a wealthy businessman that he could donate to the party via a “cousin”. Following such advice would allow the true source of the money to remain hidden on the official register of political donations. The “businessman” was also granted access to key figures, such as Danny Alexander, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury. The party has said it would look into the matter.

She said schools must do more to help pupils manage their lives and stay safe online. Teachers will be urged to improve sex education lessons in new guidelines being drawn up by the Department for Education.
