Why your cat is plotting to kill you

CAT lovers everywhere have been put on alert: while your friendly feline is snuggling up to you, it may actually be plotting how to kill you.

Research has discovered how the domestic cat shares traits of aggression and neurotic behaviour with its larger, wilder relations, such as the African lion and Scottish wildcat.

Dr Max Wachtel, an American forensic psychologist, said it was only their size that has so far prevented cats from turning on us.
