Pensioner charged after car crash into marquee
A pensioner has been charged after 14 people were injured when a car careered into a marquee during a private party.
Peter Bialek, 66, from Salisbury, Wilts, was freed on bail after appearing at Basingstoke magistrates’ court in Hampshire yesterday.
Eight of those hurt suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a marquee during a celebration near Andover on Oct 3 last year.
Bialek has been charged with three counts of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He will return to the court on April 19.
