Ruffling feathers

The pictures, together with the shot of a roosting puffin, right, by Elliot Hook, were among the 6,500 entries in this year’s Bird Photographer of the Year competition. The entries will go on show at Kew Gardens, in London, from Sept 10 to Jan 29.
