Village parking vigilante incurs residents’ wrath

An anonymous informer has caused outrage in a village by reporting illegal parking to the council, landing many drivers with fines.

The mystery vigilante has been accused of spending his or her day looking for illegally parked vehicles. Drivers popping into shops in the coastal village Rottingdean, East Sussex, have been reported, making them and traders furious. One posted a letter on the barber shop window labelling the informer a “prat”.
