Fatality after train falls in Belgium

One person was killed and about 20 injured, two seriously, when a train carriage fell on its side after being derailed in Belgium, railways officials said.

The passenger train bound for Brussels jumped the tracks shortly after leaving the city of Leuven at about 1.20pm yesterday.

Train services between Leuven and Brussels were suspended, including some heading to the airport.
