Meaningless mime

SIR – Approaching the scene of a road accident, I was shown the “winding down a window” mime by a traffic policeman.

Given that the windows of most cars are now electric, and many younger people have never encountered manually operated windows, can anyone suggest an up-to-date version? Hugh Neve Littlehampton, West Sussex
