Arrest for Twitter epilepsy attack

A man has been arrested on a charge of sending an image on Twitter intended to trigger an epileptic fit.

John Rivello, 29, of Maryland, was held after Kurt Eichenwald, a

Newsweek reporter who has epilepsy, received a strobe image on Twitter. A message attached read: “You deserve a seizure for your posts.”

It was apparently sent in response to Eichenwald’s criticism of Donald Trump.
