Cold dose of reality

SIR – Stars in Hollywood films, on entering a shower, always stand under the shower-head and turn the water on full power, to be drenched in perfect-temperature water.

If I, or any lesser mortal, were to behave like this in life then we would be brought to our senses by the shock of cold water hitting our skin.
