Mr Corbyn is a man from Venus

-

There is a curiosity about the fact that so many of the leaders of our political parties are now women – Nicola Sturgeon and Ruth Davidson in Scotland, Arlene Foster, the chief “Duppie” in Northern Ireland, Leanne Wood of Plaid Cymru in Wales. They are all seen as stronger politicians than the men around them.

We may recall the days when Margaret Thatcher was known as “the Iron Lady” and “the only man in the Cabinet”, but was attacked for being “uncaring”, and therefore stronger on her “masculine” qualities than on her “feminine side”.

When Theresa May visits the scene of the Grenfell disaster she is attacked for not showing her “caring” side by meeting the victims, unlike Jeremy Corbyn, who preferred emoting with the survivors to meeting the emergency services. In these days of “women from Mars” and “men from Venus”, would “caring” Corbyn like to be known as “the only woman” among our party leaders?
