SIR – Kevin Henley (Letters, September 10) complains that, when he puts his bedding in the tumble dryer, it screws the pillowcases and sheet into a ball and secretes them in a corner of the duvet.
He can solve this easily – by fastening his duvet before putting it in the wash. Linda Fisher

SIR – Mr Henley is lucky that his tumble dryer turns the duvet cover inside out.
I store duvets in this way, as they are then easier to put on (by reaching inside, bringing the corners together and shaking them out).
