The Telegraph reveals Theresa May and parliamentary authorities were warned more needed to be done to protect MPs’ staff six months ago. It follows reports of a dossier of inappropriate sexual behaviour by Tory MPs, and of a researchers’ WhatsApp group created to share concerns.
Sunday
Mark Garnier, international trade minister, admits asking his secretary to buy sex toys for him and calling her “sugar t--s”.
The Cabinet Office launches an investigation into whether Mr Garnier broke the Ministerial Code.

Kelvin Hopkins, a Labour MP, is suspended from the party over allegations of inappropriate conduct made by party activist Ava Etemadzadeh, left, which he “categorically” denies.

Friday
Mrs May releases a new code of conduct for Conservative representatives.
