WITH clients including the likes of David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson and Top Gear presenters Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness, the legal services of “Mr Loophole” are beyond the reach of most motorists who find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

But Nick Freeman, a celebrity solicitor, is preparing to offer free legal advice to anyone who joins him on a sponsored walk.

The 64-year-old, who earned the nickname Mr Loophole after using a variety of technicalities to get his clients off, has planned a charity event to raise money for Parkinson’s disease.

Mr Freeman came up with the idea after his younger brother, John, was diagnosed with the condition.

Later this month he will set off on a 60-mile walk from his home in Cheshire to his brother’s home in Nottingham and will dispense free legal advice to anyone he meets along the way in return for a donation to Parkinson’s UK. Mr Freeman told The Sunday Telegraph: “I am calling it my 60/60/60 walk. I am doing the walk to mark John’s 60th birthday, it is about 60 miles and I am aiming to raise £60,000.

“John and I are very close. He was a big strapping bloke and it has been terrible to see the effect this terrible disease has had … The research that is going on into finding a

cure does not get any government funding at all.

“Hopefully I can use my reputation to help raise some money to continue the search for a cure. I will be walking 20 miles each day with my son, Ben, and my Staffordshire bull terrier, George.

“Anyone who comes to see me along the way can get a free legal consultation in return for a donation. It doesn’t have to be a motoring offence, I am a criminal solicitor so it could be a whole range of matters.”
