As necessary as the cause of ending racist police violence is, it hasn’t taken long for the Black Lives Matter protests to become a breeding ground for the utmost nastiness – including a pogrom in the Jewish district of Fairfax, Los Angeles, and other violent action carried about by the frenzied anti-capitalist anarchists who now seem to be running the show.

There is almost no rabblerous­ing violence in the name of anti-racism or anti-capitalism that Mr Virasami has refrained from. To say that he is committed to his cause is fair. To say that this cause is nothing but anti-Semitic, anti-Western thuggery is even fairer.
