Oprah with Meghan and Harry

ITV, 9PM

-

It has been decried as everything from self-destructive and arrogant to deplorably insensitive (in view of Prince Philip’s p health concerns) but, inevitably, ably, that has only added d to the anticipation. on. ITV reportedly y paid £1million for this “no subject off ff limits” interview in which the Duke and the Duchess of f Sussex are quizzed d by Oprah Winfrey, nfrey, with Meghan han doing an extra xtra – and perhaps ps extraprovocative ve – session alone with America’s rica’s chat show queen. Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry to talk about their move to the United States and their future hopes for their expanding family. We’ll already have heard the main talking points by the time it goes out, as the show aired in the US on Sunday night. Even so, watching the entire two hours will doubtless appeal to millions, if only for the prospect of getting a glimpse of the duo enjoying their new life in Santa Barbara. In a teasing clip Winfrey has promised “shocking revelations”, although all that can be predicted p with any certainty is that it will be more earnest than Harry’s light-hearted lig open-top open- top bus tour encounter enc with James Corden Corde last week.
