A Tiverton date for two top singing stars

-

AUDIENCES will be able to enjoy two top singers in Tiverton later this month.

The 1980s hearthrob Paul Young will take fans behind the lens in a show with a difference at the Tiverton Community Arts Theatre on Sunday, April 28.

The pop star will play at the theatre as part of a major tour called Behind The Lens, which coincides with the publication of his autobiography.

Paul broke into the big time 40 years ago when ‘No Parlez’ went to number one and his many hits include ‘Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home)’ and and the worldwide hit ‘Everytime You Go Away,’ not forgetting his appearance at

Live Aid and the Band Aid single, Do They Know It’s Christmas.

He also enjoys having fun in his Tex-mex band, Los Pacaminos.

Now, on the 40th anniversary of ‘No Parlez,’ he’s released a new record and published his memoir; both called Behind The Lens.

During the night at TCAT, he will meet fans, sing hits and tell stories about his incredible career.

On Friday, April 26, the venue will play host to Tommy Blaize, who has one of the most recognisable voices in the UK.

As the lead singer on Strictly Come Dancing for 20 years, he’s sung live each week to up to 12 million people.

And in a remarkable career spanning 50 years, he’s worked with some of the world’s most legendary artists, from Diana Ross to Queen, and from Stevie Wonder to Robbie Williams.

Now it’s time for the man with the golden voice to step out in his first, major, solo tour.

Singing songs everyone knows and loves, and telling stories about the legends he’s worked alongside, expect a Strictly incredible evening.

Both shows start at 8pm. For more information and ticket details see https://tivertontheatre.com/events.
