Refugee film wins award

On 7 June, an awards ceremony was held at Lambeth Palace in London. The Sandford St Martin Trust awards celebrate radio, TV and online programmes that reflect religious, spiritual or ethical themes. The children’s category award went to a film called Refugee, in which we meet a young girl and her family searching for a safe place. This year’s judges included the author, David Almond. He said that the winning entry “really does show how it would be if it happened to us and not to a ‘stranger’.” Watch the award-winning film at truetube.co.uk/film/refugee
