A Member of Parliament, Marc Miller, has addressed Canada’s House of Commons in Mohawk for the first time. Mohawk is an indigenous language, which means it evolved in a place rather than arriving there from somewhere else. The Mohawk people, a North American-Indian tribe, lived in Canada before the first Europeans arrived. “I pay my respects to their people,“said the MP.
