Major new railway line opens
President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya has opened a major new railway line. The line, which cost £2.5 billion and was built by China, connects the capital, Nairobi, with the coastal town of Mombasa. It stretches 290 miles, and is part of a plan to connect central African countries with the coast. The new railway replaces one built by the British 122 years ago.
