Hundreds injured in deadly explosion
On 31 May, at least 90 people died and more than 400 were injured in an explosion near the German embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. The attack occurred in the Wazir Akbar Khan area of the city during rush hour. On 3 June, another attack took place during a funeral for a man who died in the earlier explosion. At least seven people were killed and many were injured. No group has yet claimed responsibility.
