The Week - Junior

Editor’s note

-

The Week Junior went to press before this week’s general election, so we’ll have to wait until the next issue to write about the results. However, although we don’t know who will be in charge after the election, we do know which issues our readers think they should focus on, on their first day – you can see what they are on page 5. In our survey, we also asked our readers what they would prioritise if they were Prime Minister. Many of you said you’d give more money to schools and hospitals, and start tackling climate change. Others said the first job would be to make sure that everyone has somewhere to live. A few said that you’d like to hold another referendum, to see if people in the UK still want to leave the European Union. It will be interesting to see which, if any, of these issues top the new PM’s list. One reader said they’d bring in all the policies they’d promised – we’ll have to wait and see whether the real Prime Minister sticks to their word once they’ve got the country’s most important job…
