Is the faceless fish for real?

-

A deep-sea “faceless” fish that hasn’t been spotted in the waters off Australia for more than 100 years has been rediscovered. The strange creature, which is about 40 centimetres long, was found deep in the sea when a team of researchers were collecting samples of sediment and animals from as much as 2.5 miles down. It’s been described as “faceless” because, when looked at from the side, its mouth, which is on the underside of the animal, eyes, nose and gills are invisible. Is this a true story or is there something fishy going on?*
