Flying to fetch food
Most people catch a bus or hop in the car to go to the supermarket, but not this 78-year-old. Khrystyna Rosokha, from Ukraine, catches a flying trough suspended over a fast-flowing river that runs through her small village.
Her husband invented the contraption, which involves a zipwire and a trough that can also hold shopping, 50 years ago. Rosokha said this five-minute river crossing certainly beats the half-hour journey she’d have to make on foot to reach the shops. The local authorities are now planning to build a bridge near her home, which will allow her to keep her feet firmly on the ground.
