Protest against Brexit

On 9 September, tens of thousands of people gathered in London to protest against Brexit – Britain’s exit from the European Union (EU). The People’s March for Europe walked from Hyde Park to Parliament Square. There was also a campaign to get the audience to wave EU flags during the Last Night of the Proms, the final night of the classical music festival. Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage accused concertgoers of refusing to accept that Brexit is going ahead.
