You might already know about Duolingo: it‘s a language-learning platform. It has an app for learning languages that is popular with young people and adults. Tinycards is Duolingo’s new app, which can be used for all kinds of learning.

It’s an app equivalent of the paper flash cards that are sometimes used to learn vocabulary. These digital flash cards are sorted into decks – more than 10,000 of them – for topics including geography, history, languages and science. The decks include the countries and capitals of Europe, important women in history, the periodic table and muscles of the body. You can work your way through each deck, answering questions to test how well you’re doing, before taking a quiz at the end.

If you create a profile, you can make your own decks to share with the world – although check with an adult before you do this.
