SCURRY FUNGE

-

Do you ever notice someone in your family rushing around to tidy up before visitors arrive? As it happens, English has a very useful and humorously colourful verb for this: to scurryfunge. It was born in the US many years ago to describe the frantic rushing or scurrying about that many of us do in an effort to make a place look presentable right before guests arrive.
