Whales interrupt surfers
The Lofoten Masters, in Norway, is the world’s northernmost surfing competition. Further north than Iceland, the chilly waters of Lofoten attract surfers who come for unbeatable waves and to avoid shark attacks. For competitors this year, however, an interruption came from an equally awesome aquatic beast. Three surfers were interrupted by a pair of killer whales, who decided to check out the action.
