Dan­ger­ous vol­cano ready to erupt

More than 42,000 peo­ple have been evac­u­ated from an area around Mount Agung in Bali, af­ter the vol­cano showed signs that it might erupt. Au­thor­i­ties have stopped peo­ple from en­ter­ing a 7.5-mile area around the vol­cano, af­ter hun­dreds of tremors were felt and signs of magma were seen ris­ing to the sur­face. Mount Agung stands more than 3,000 me­tres above sea level, and it last erupted in 1963.
