Victory for this boy’s religious rights
On 12 August, a tribunal (a bit like a court that resolves disputes) found that a five-year-old boy had been treated unfairly because of his religion. Sidhak Singh is a Sikh. He wears a patka, a bit like a turban, as part of his religion. He was told that he couldn’t go to school because his patka was against the rules, but the tribunal said this was unreasonable.
